HOW DO I PAY FOR HOSPICE CARE?

There are a few ways to pay for hospice care.

♣Medicare: Medicare covers hospice care for people who are eligible for Medicare Part A and Part B. There is no copayment or deductible for hospice care.

♣Private insurance: Some private insurance plans cover hospice care. The amount of coverage will vary depending on the plan. Please contact your plan to find out if your hospice care will be covered and under what circumstances.

 

♣VA Medical Benefits: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers a variety of medical benefits to veterans, including hospice care. To be eligible for VA hospice care, you must be enrolled in the VA health care system and have a terminal illness.
